Sometimes, it’s just really good to be the king.

After winning the program’s third national championship in a four-year span, Alabama coach Nick Saban has translated his on-field dominance to the recruiting trail. The Tide has brought in a number of the nation’s top recruits, and is expected to bring in at least one more on or before National Signing Day on Feb. 6.

A’Shawn Robinson, the No. 33-ranked player in the nation, has officially rescinded his commitment to the Texas Longhorns, and all signs are pointing towards his signing with the Tide.

This according to Dallas News:

Robinson reportedly informed Texas coaches during an in-home visit that he would no longer be honoring his commitment and would instead be signing with Alabama on National Signing Day.

Robinson had been committed to the Longhorns since last February and made an official visit to Austin last weekend. But the trip to Tuscaloosa two weeks ago seemed to have won over the five-star recruit.

All is not well in beautiful Austin, Texas. On the other hand, life could not be getting much better for fans of Alabama football.

In fact, at this point, every television channel in Alabama should just give up on football Saturdays and go black until the Crimson Tide is done playing. Either that, or just play Walker, Texas Ranger re-runs for three hours.

But even Chuck Norris won’t be as much fun as watching the 6-foot-5, 304-pound defensive tackle toss hapless running backs around Tuscaloosa like dolls.

Can’t Alabama use players in their own area to keep winning. Why do they have to come steal from Texas. Fuck this guy.
