Athletes rooms at Sochi Olympic Village have tiny beds

Russia spent nearly $51 billion on bringing the 2014 Winter Olympics to Sochi. Judging from the tiny beds, however, the country had to cut some costs on the bedroom set up for athletes at the Olympic Village, as well as in the bathrooms.

The majority of these athletes (presumably) haven’t seen a double bed since their childhood. Imagine a 6’4″ professional hockey player trying to curl up on these mini-me mattresses.

Some rooms will house three individuals, while others will accommodate two. No matter what draw each athlete received, it looks like they will all be subjected to these dorm room beds.

Following is a tour of a double room at the Olympics.
