Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator to interview for Boise State job

The Atlanta Falcons’ offensive coordinator, Dirk Koetter, will reportedly interview for the Boise State head coaching job. According to the Idaho Statesman, Boise State is also interviewing Arkansas State head coach Bryan Harsin.

Koetter’s first head coaching job was with Boise State. He notched a 20-10 record in three seasons with the Broncos. During his final two seasons, Boise State was first in the conference and won the Humanitarian Bowl. He left the school to coach Arizona State for six seasons.

For the past two seasons, Koetter has served as Atlanta’s offensive coordinator. In his first year, the Falcons finished top-10 in team offense. However, due in part to injuries, the team has dropped to 22nd in his second year.

As a head coach in college, Koetter’s overall record is 66-44.
