The Florida State Seminoles’ 2013 recruiting class took a big hit on Monday night when it was confirmed by ESPN that four-star offensive tackle Austin Golson was no longer committed to the Noles.
It’s not time to hit the panic button in Tallahassee just yet, but the loss of nearly every assistant coach, including one to Miami, and now the top incoming lineman for FSU is more than worrisome.
Golson, at 6-foot-6 and 285 pounds, was the centerpiece to the line for this year’s class. He is the third-ranked offensive tackle and the No. 52-overall player in the ESPN150.
As of now, it seems as if Florida State is a long shot to land the big man. He is reportedly leaning towards Ole Miss and head coach Hugh Freeze, who is currently putting a huge class for the Rebels.
