During “The Other Pregame Show” on CBS Sports Network, former NFL player Bart Scott had some strong words for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. When discussing another up-and-down Cowboys season, Scott directed his criticism at Jones, saying, “This guy (Jones) is senile.”
After his team beat the New York Giants, Jones said he welcomes criticism from media and fans.
“It’s a privilege. I mean this. I mean it. It’s a privilege,” Jones said. “It’s an absolute labor of love and a privilege to be critiqued if the Cowboys aren’t doing good. It is an honor to get to be with the team, the league and the game. I don’t like it. I want to do something about it to change it. But I don’t agree with what some people want me to do to change it. I hope no one thinks I am going to listen to that. Having said that, I expect it and frankly I do — it’s a big part of my life and I cherish it.”
Considering Jones recently talked to CBS about being somewhat masochistic, it’s hardly a surprise that he embraces criticism. Jones has seen enough success as a businessman to remain unfazed by critics.
