A day after absorbing a monster hit from Steelers linebacker Terence Garvin, Cincinnati Bengals punter Kevin Huber has been diagnosed with a cracked vertebrae.

Garvin’s hit helped spring a first-quarter touchdown return by Antonio Brown. Huber did not return to the game, and it was later announced that he had a broken jaw. The further severity of his injury was reported Monday afternoon by ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

Bengals placekicker Mike Nugent took over punting duties after Huber’s exit. The Steelers beat their divisional rivals, 30-20.
