Six Big Ten teams were off during Week 5 of the 2013 college football season. However, the meeting of two of the conference’s biggest programs gave ESPN’s Brian Bennett and Adam Rittenberg a clearer view of where each team may be headed this bowl season.
The two have updated their 2013 Big Ten bowl game projections. Ohio State’s 31-24 win over Wisconsin solidifies the Buckeyes’ hold on the conference’s BCS bowl berth – which could still change into a national title game invite. Had the Badgers left Columbus with a victory, they may have been slotted ahead of Michigan.
Northwestern is currently predicted to head to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, but that could change in a hurry. The Wildcats take on Ohio State at home in Week 6.
