Following a big slate of games during Week 7 of the 2013 college football season, ESPN has updated its Big Ten bowl game projections.
Ohio State has met preseason expectations thus far, racing out to a 6-0 start. Coach Urban Meyer is now 18-0 to open his tenure with the Buckeyes, and has his program primed to compete in the Rose Bowl – if not national title game.
After that, things get a little murky. Following its huge win over Northwestern, Wisconsin is slated for the league’s top non-BCS bowl, the Capital One. Of course, that could change depending upon the continued improvement we are seeing out of Michigan State and Nebraska.
Michigan has struggled and finally lost its first game, a four-overtime thriller at Penn State. The Wolverines still only have one loss, however, and have plenty of time to right the ship.
Illinois could still sneak into a game should Iowa or Indiana limp to the finish line.
Here’s the complete list of updated bowl projections.
