Bobby Petrino is officially a Louisville man again. On Thursday, the university introduced him as the Cardinals’ new head coach. His contract details have also been made available. Petrino received a seven year deal worth $24.5 million. He’ll be making $3.5 million annually.
Louisville AD Tom Jurich also made sure that Petrino wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon, adding a $10 million buyout clause.
Petrino received his head coaching start with the Cardinals, compiling a 41-9 overall record from 2003-06.
