Brett Favre is back in the news, only this time it’s not for a potential return to the NFL. Favre recently helped coach Oak Grove High School to the Mississippi 6A state championship.

In the clip below, announcers discuss the affect Favre has on the team.

The description is one Favre, a man whose enthusiasm and love of the game spreads to other players, has had throughout his entire career.

According to ESPN, when discussing his latest championship, Favre evoked memories of his 1996-97 Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers.

“I can’t say it’s like a Super Bowl, but it’s pretty close,” Favre said. “It really is. It’s a different type of feeling, but I couldn’t be more proud of these guys. It’s been a lot of fun.”

Favre has long been considered the consummate teammate. It’s of little surprise that he takes pride watching young men enjoy the camaraderie of the game.
