Washington Redskins defensive end/linebacker Brian Orakpo missed pretty much the entire 2012 season after tearing his left pec during the second week of the season.

Now the former Texas star is back and looking more determined than ever to wreak some real havoc against the rest of the NFC East. We truly mean that – just check out his brand new, Bane-inspired facemask.

New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck was the first to design a hyper-intense facemask and he did so for both safety and aesthetic purposes. First, of course, he was getting sick of being poked in the eye by offensive linemen. Second, the NFL’s uniform policy is a strict one, and pretty much the only thing players are really free to customize these days are, in fact, their facemasks.

So Orakpo is going with the Bane look. Do you think Michael Vick or Eli Manning will be looking to do a Batman impression come fall?

Tony Romo can be Robin, or something – burn!

Below is a close-up look at the new mask, first teased by Orakpo himself back in May. It looked crazy legit then, too.
