The offseason bug continues to bite college football teams across the country. Earlier this past weekend, Florida Gators starting linebacker Antonio Morrison was arrested for barking at a police dog, his second arrest in just over a month, and now Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde may be facing troubles of his own.

Details on Hyde’s situation are still developing and spotty, but he allegedly punched a girl in the face over the weekend and has been dismissed from the team. Ohio State has yet to comment on the situation, however, Hyde was not in attendance at Monday morning’s team meetings.

According to Fox 8 News reporter Gabe Spiegel, Ohio State plans to address an “incident” later on Monday.

Not helping Hyde out is the fact that the girl he punched is reportedly a cop’s daughter.

Again, these are currently rumors circulating the internet. Hopefully for Buckeye Nation, the initial reports are not true.
