Casey Pachall’s rocky career at TCU just took another unfortunate turn. The senior suffered what has been determined to be a broken arm against FCS Southern Louisiana and will miss roughly eight weeks.

Pachall was arrested on DUI charges last season, and then left the team to enter drug and alcohol rehabilitation. He re-enrolled in school this summer and won back his starting spot over the talented but still young Trevone Boykin. The dual-threat Boykin will be taking over for Pachall full-time after seeing limited reps through the team’s first two games.
The Horned Frogs still harbor Big 12 title aspirations, but the early going hasn’t gone quite as smooth as planned. They lost their season-opener to LSU, 37-27, and then needed a 24-0 run late to break a 14-14 tie against Southern Louisiana.
Pachall had completed 17-of-30 passes for 175 yards and one interception on the year.
TCU takes on Texas Tech in Lubbock this Thursday.
