CBS Sports releases first 2014 Preseason College Football Top 25

As soon as Florida State put a stamp on the 2013 college football season, fans, media and teams began looking towards 2014. It’s always tough to gauge how next year will shake up this far out, but you have to start somewhere. In an effort to shine some early light on next year, CBS Sports has released its first 2014 Preseason College Football Top 25.

There’s no surprise at the top with Florida State, as the Seminoles are the early odds-on favorite to win it again with the return of Jameis Winston. Who will join them in the inaugural College Football Playoff, however, is a bit of a toss up.

Jerry Hinnen of CBS Sports likes Alabama and Auburn out of the SEC, and Stanford out of the Pac-12.
