Former Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard trolled Jadeveon Clowney hard on Twitter on Monday night.
If Clowney, at 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds, had chosen to play basketball, the junior could have already made the leap to the pro level. Instead, one of the most naturally gifted athletes college football has ever seen was hoping to make a run at the Heisman himself in his third year at South Carolina.
Until mighty (read: tuurible) Kentucky came to town, that is. Clowney complained of a rib injury just an hour before kickoff and sat out against the bottom-feeding Wildcats.
He took flak for his decision from several different people, and now Howard – who could probably be crushed by Clowney in one hand – has jumped in on the Twitter fun.
Miami Heat beat writer Tim Reynolds tweeted out that Dwayne Wade would be missing a preseason game for the Heat. Howard saw Reynold’s tweet as a chance to crack a joke on the big guy.
