Charlie Strong fires shot at Texas A&M, Sumlin’s ‘gadget program’

With just one line, new Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong turned up the heat in the state of Texas. As part of his National Signing Day duties on Wednesday, Strong held a press conference to address the incoming class, among other things. When asked about competing with Texas A&M and Kevin Sumlin’s “Swagcopter” on the recruiting trail, Strong had some choice words for the Aggies.

“The university speaks for itself,” said Strong. “We don’t need gadgets. We’re not going to be a gadget program.”

While Strong is still trying to get his feet under him at the University of Texas, Kevin Sumlin is quickly building a national brand in College Station. Whatever “gadgets” he’s using are working.

That being said, Strong doesn’t need gadgets at Texas. If he starts winning, everything else will fall into place.

In all honesty, it’s nice to see a little pluck out of the Longhorns. Welcome back, we’ve missed you.

Tim, not every Longhorn is a libtard! That is like saying every aggie stands around at an atm thinking they are in class! You’re a big dork and you proved it in your comment. I can see you’re just an aggie troll commenting on Longhorn articles. Hook ’em Horns!
