I wouldn’t advise holding your breath, Gator Nation, but things are looking up for Florida freshman Chris Walker. According to Mark Long of The Associated Press, Walker could very well be cleared to play this week.
Anything can happen when the NCAA is involved, but yes, all indications are Gators F Chris Walker will be cleared this week

If Walker is cleared, it would be a massive boost for a team that seems to be catching its stride. Florida is riding an 11-game winning streak, and looks to be far and away the class of the SEC this year.
The depth Walker would add down low for the Gators could be the difference between a Final Four run and early exit from the tournament. Combined with Patric Young and Will Yeguete, the three would present one of the toughest front courts in the nation.
At 6’10” and 225 pounds, Walker was the No. 1 center and No. 6 overall prospect in the class of 2013, according to Rivals.
