The Cincinnati Bearcats unveiled their new red and black helmets, which the team will wear for the Belk Bowl, on Thursday. The official Twitter account for the University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics sent out the following two photos, one of the front and one of the back.
The helmets have a red gloss base, with a black Cincinnati logo on the sides and a black stripe running across the top. The back of the lids features a pair of subtle Bearcats eyes.
Under first-year coach Tommy Tuberville Cincinnati put together a respectable 9-3 record in the American Athletic Conference. The Bearcats will finish out the 2013 season against North Carolina on Dec. 28 in the Belk Bowl.
