With less than a week remaining until the kickoff of the 2013 college football season, the College GameDay crew has weighed in on who they believe will hoist the crystal ball at the end of this season.
- Kirk Herbstreit: Alabama over Ohio St
- Lee Corso: Stanford over Alabama
- Desmond Howard: LSU over Stanford
Howard throws the one curve ball out of the three, predicting LSU to come out of the SEC and win the title. While the Tigers certainly have enough talent on the roster, new offensive coordinator Cam Cameron has his work cut out for him this season. It all lies on the throwing arm of Zach Mettenberger, who showed glimpses of being a legitimate QB last season, but also had major gaffes along the way.
One thing common among all of three is that the SEC will once again be in the national title game. Corso, however, thinks that this is the year the conference’s streak ends.
