Alabama landed its 21st commitment for the 2015 recruiting class on Friday with the addition of four-star linebacker Joshua McMillon.
Roll Tide!!!! I Will Be Attending The University Of Alabama

McMillon has a lot of physical tools to develop as a front-seven defender at the college level. He could [sic] inside or out in the second level or a standup rushing role upfront. More of a downhill, vertical defender than a lateral or space guy. Scheme and continued physical development along with flexibility improvements will likely dictate position and success at the next level.
The new commit credit’s Tuscaloosa’s proximity to Memphis and Alabama’s recent tradition of pumping out top-flight linebackers as major factors for his decision.
“Some of the factors are them being close to home,” McMillon said. “I’m able to get there any time if there’s any family emergency. The Engineering program is one of the top 50 in the country. Alabama, the name sticks out. They’re taking linebackers to the NFL every day. People like Dont’a Hightower, Rolando McClain and C.J. Mosley, who just went to the Ravens. I felt like it was a great fit for me.”
Alabama beat out the likes of Auburn, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma for McMillon. The Crimson Tide currently have the No. 1 class in the nation per ESPN.
