Since the second half of the college football season began in the middle of October, Alabama star running back Derrick Henry has been consistent in his remembering of a fallen former teammate.
From post game interviews to accepting multiple awards, including the Heisman Trophy, Henry has been consistent in mentioning Altee Tenpenny and his family. Tenpenny, who played two seasons as a reserve running back for the Crimson Tide, died in a car crash in October while traveling in Mississippi on his way home to Little Rock, Arkansas.
Tenpenny had left the school and transferred to UNLV before later transferring to Nicholls State, where he was later dismissed from following an arrest. Sunday would have been Tenpenny’s 21st birthday, and Henry took time to remember his friend and teammate:
Happy Bday Altee ! I love & miss you bro ! #LongLive28?
