Earlier today Scout.com reported that quarterback Will Grier has decided to transfer from the University of Florida.
The redshirt freshman is currently serving a one-year suspension by the NCAA after testing positive for performance enhancing drugs.
Not long after reports began to surface about Grier’s possible departure from Gainesville, Florida head coach Jim McElwain released this statement:

A source later confirmed with the Orlando Sentinel that Grier will indeed be moving on and will try to find a new school to lead to victory.
Grier started the season for the Gators and led them to a 6-0 start and a 4-0 start in the SEC. Florida’s offense was never ever able to recover from the loss of Grier and Gator fans can only hope that McElwain can provide a new hope for the struggling team.
