Ohio State Photoshops Top Recruit Malik Barrow With Championship Trophy

Ohio State is wasting no time showing off its new shiny trophy to high school recruits. Plenty have already seen it in person when visiting campus, but the Buckeyes aren’t stopping there. They’re also photoshopping top prospects hoisting the hardware. It might be a little premature, but it will sure go a long way in getting the top recruits to listen.

Landing the big one

Urban Meyer sent 4-star recruit Malik Barrow this image of him in a Buckeyes uniform with the College Football Playoff trophy. What better way to convince a recruit than by sending him a picture that basically says, “come here and you’ll win a national title.” With a kid as good as Barrow, you are going to need to find creative ways to convince him that he belongs at your school. I’d say a championship is the best way to do that.

Using 247Sports’ industry-wide recruiting average, Barrow is ranked as the No. 19 strong-side defensive end and No. 291 overall player in the country. Besides Ohio State, the Tampa, Florida prospect also has offers from Michigan State, Miami, Boston College, Duke, and several other programs around the country.

Where do you think this kid is going to go? He has the pick of the top schools in the nation, and we doubt that he is going to rush into a decision, but I don’t see why he would turn down such a great school and such a great chance at getting to the promised land.
