It may seem like an eternity away, but the 2014 college football season will be here before we know it. We are coming up on the two month mark, and in anticipation Sporting News has released its preseason bowl projections.
As has become expected, the SEC is well represented. Sporting News predicts that 11 teams will go bowling in 2014. The only programs on the outside looking in are Arkansas, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt.
The Florida Gators are projected to bounce back after a 4-8 debacle of a season and play TCU in the Liberty Bowl.
Alabama is the lone squad from the SEC tabbed to make the first ever College Football Playoff, however Sporting News does not have the Tide advancing to the national championship game.
