The Florida men’s basketball team took a hit on Saturday with the news that junior DeVon Walker had torn his ACL. CBS Sports’ Jeff Borzello reports that the injury is expected to keep him sidelined for the entire 2014-15 season.

The loss undoubtedly hurts, but thanks to Donovan’s relentless recruiting, there is talent to turn to. If everything goes according to plan, Eli Carter, Dillon Graham and freshmen Devin Robinson and Brandon Francis will all help to fill the wing’s void.
Walker averaged 12.1 minutes per contest during his sophomore campaign. The Winter Haven, Florida native would have still come off the bench this season, but was expected to take on an increased role for the Gators.
