After having their opening game against Idaho canceled (and repackaged for 2017), the Florida Gators are a little … well … a little backed up. Let’s just say, there’s a mound of pent up aggression welling up inside of the guys, and they desperately need a release valve.
“It’s just a lot of stuff built up in you ready to get out,” [Dante] Fowler said of the first game. “So you know we’re just going into this week hoping it doesn’t happen again and just be able to take everything out on Eastern Michigan.”
Linebacker Michael Taylor seconded Fowler’s sentiments, and then raised him one.
“Out at practice (Tuesday) I got mad, because I’m like dang, I can’t take anyone to the ground. You don’t want to unleash on your teammates, so it’s just like when I finally get out there, pray for them. That’s how we all feel, because we’ve got some stuff to let out. It’s been a while, so we’re just ready to take the field.”
So there you have it, Eastern Michigan: train, say your prayers and eat your vitamins. The Gator boys are on the prowl, and things could get ugly if everyone does their job.
