It’s time for a switch up with the newly-formed honorary Mr. Two Bits tradition, and an awesome switch up at that. While I’d love to see a Gator legend grace the field, this move by the UAA is a fantastic way to get students involved.
For the first time on Saturday, a student will play the part of Mr. Two Bits. Josh Comiter won the competition, which was announced on Aug. 27, among his peers.
The 21-year-old senior business major’s video pitch to do the traditional pre-game cheer was deemed the best among entries received by the UAA, according to the three judges: Athletic Director Jeremy Foley, student body president Cory Yeffet and former Gators star tailback Errict Rhett, the original honorary Mr. Two Bits.
Comiter told Chris Harry of GatorZone.com that being chosen was, “the greatest day of my life.”
Following is the video entry that won him the competition.
