The hits keep coming for the Georgia Bulldogs this offseason. Earlier in the week Mark Richt dismissed Jonathan Taylor for being charged with felony assault and family violence. On Saturday morning another UGA player had a run-in with the law.
Backup outside linebacker Davin Bellamy was arrested and booked into Clarke County Jail just after 5:00 a.m. for a DUI and speeding, according to a report from Dog Bytes Online. He posted a $2,000 bond and was released at 6:22 a.m.
He becomes the fifth defender to be arrested this offseason, and seventh Georgia player overall that’s been booked.
Georgia’s defense this offseason: Five players arrested (one of them twice), three players dismissed, two more transfered, one medical DQ.

Bellamy, who will be suspended at least two games per UGA rules, sent the following tweet apologizing for his actions.
Would like to apologize to #dawgnation for my immaturity. I have embarrassed myself, my family, & my brothers. I will gain your trust back
