The Virginia Tech Hokies are preparing for what may be the biggest game in the history of the school (and at the very least, the biggest home game in the history of Lane Stadium) when they open the 2015 season against the defending national champs, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Coming off a 7-6 record in 2014 (including a win over those same Buckeyes), you would think the Hokies are doing everything possible to get ready for such an important contest.
And you would be right … because nothing gets you ready like going back to your roots and playing some backyard, two-hand touch football.
Members of the team took part in a game with some youths in the Blacksburg area:
I’m not saying that this game will get them in tip top shape for the Buckeyes, but it might actually be decent to see some new faces as opposed to hitting your teammates in practice every day.
