DeMarcus Walker was set to make his decision about which college he would play for live on ESPNU yesterday.
But before he announced whether he’d be a Gator or part of the Crimson Tide, he decided to have a little fun.
Before Walker went on the show, he sent out two tweets.
The first one read, “I’m in studio. I think it’s UF. I need to be close.”
The second one said, “orange and blue here we go.”
Many sportswriters and recruitniks said the tweets were bluffs and Walker would surely pick Alabama.
They were right.

About half an hour after those tweets were sent, Walker committed to Alabama.
The 6′-4″, 280 pound defensive end is the No. 6-ranked player at his position, and the 97th overall prospect in the country, for the 2013 class, according to Rivals.com.
Walker’s commitment didn’t come as a surprise to many, as he had been leaning towards Alabama for a while, despite pitches from friends who were already Florida commits.
Walker said he will still visit Florida before signing day.
