Denver and Seattle mayors set terms for their Super Bowl bet

Terms have been set, guidelines settled upon, and wagers placed. The mayors of Denver and Seattle have put their pride on the line with this year’s Super Bowl bet.

If Seattle wins, Denver mayor Michael B. Hancock must wear a derelict costume inspired by Macklemore’s “Thrift Shop.”

If Denver wins, Seattle’s mayor, Ed Murray, will mail Dungeness crab and salmon to his counterpart.

There’s also a charity aspect to the bet. Should he don the “Thrift Shop” ensemble, Hancock will auction it off, with proceeds going to the Lifelong AIDS Foundation. If Seattle loses, Murray will wear Broncos pajamas in public to raise awareness for a charity geared towards homelessness, Denver’s Road Home.
