The Jacksonville Jaguars were already in the dumps heading into Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams, then they lost 2013 first-round pick Luke Joeckel to a fractured ankle. The team is threatening to go 0-16, and taking on Denver on Saturday certainly won’t help.
Led by Peyton Manning, the Broncos are 5-0 and have scored the most points through five games in NFL history, including a mind-boggling 103 in the last two games.
Needless to say, Denver was going to be a huge betting favorite heading into the game – but would we have guessed that the point spread would be the largest in the history of the sport?
Honestly, yes. Jacksonville is just that bad this year. The early point spread has been set at an unreal four touchdowns.
