At first glance, this just looks like an awesome birthday cake. However, a closer inspection reveals that there is a lot more going on.
Notice how the Lions are on the bottom, the Red Wings on top and the Tigers sandwiched in the middle. It’s an accurate representation of the sports hierarchy in Detroit.
The Red Wings are, by far, the city’s most successful team, with 11 Stanley Cups. After that come the Tigers, with their four World Series. Pulling up the rear are the Lions, who haven’t won a championship since the merger, and have never been to a Super Bowl.
As far as the Pistons go, well, we’re guessing they weren’t invited to the party.
