Retired pitcher Dirk Hayhurst escapes death, live-tweets taxi cab hit-and-run

Former San Diego, Toronto and Tampa Bay pitcher Dirk Hayhurst had himself quite the adventurous cab ride – and it looks like he live-tweeted the entire thing from the back seat.

Definitely not a great situation. You are trying to get somewhere, you don’t actually know the person driving the car beyond the fact that he’s supposed to be taking you to that place, and then he hits somebody.

Oh, and then the guy that got hit jumps out of his car, incensed, and begins screaming at said cabbie.

Don’t worry, Hayhurst took a sneaky video of the scene.

It doesn’t stop there – not by a long shot.

Hayhurst was too deep now, if the cabbie was going down, so was he.
