Free agent wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth’s fun offseason day with his girlfriend nearly turned tragic on Saturday morning.

He took his girlfriend up in a hot air balloon ride, but suffered burns after the balloon ran into power lines. Stallworth and his girlfriend have reportedly been hospitalized, but are in stable condition, according to Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston.com.

A third passenger aboard the balloon ride was not injured and did not need hospital care, according to NBC Sports.

Our thoughts are with Stallworth and his girlfriend at this time as they hopefully make a swift recovery.
