San Francisco 49ers safety Donte Whitner was recently fined $21,000 for a huge hit on St. Louis Rams wide receiver Chris Givens.

Instead of easing up (and easing the strain on his wallet), however, Whitner is embracing his enforcer role. The eighth-year veteran out of Ohio State took to Twitter to first tell his followers that he was debating changing his name – and then he actually went and did it.

Ladies and gentlemen, allow us to introduce the world to Donte Hitner … because he hits people.

Hey, at least he didn’t change his name to “Tres Uno,” like former Cincinnati wideout/attention seeker Chad Johnson did when he officially became “Chad Ochocino.”
