Report: Eastern Michigan receiver found dead from apparent gunshot wound

Eastern Michigan wide receiver Demarius Reed was found dead Friday morning, according to a report from John Counts of mlive.com. Police believe that Reed died from a gunshot wound.

Ypsilanti police Detective Sgt. Thomas Eberts said police believe the cause of death to be a gunshot wound.

Reed was discovered dead in a hallway at the University Green apartments in the 700 block of West Clark Road by his roommate around 7:15 a.m. Friday, police said.

Authorities are still investigating at the time of this post.

The junior from Chicago, Illinois was a starter for the Eagles. On the season, he had 15 catches for 185 yards and a touchdown.
