After heading to Georgia vs. Clemson for what turned out to be an amazing, 38-35, win for the Tigers, ESPN’s College GameDay crew is headed over to Big Ten country for Notre Dame and Michigan under the lights of the Big House.
What other choice did they have?
This will be the 11th time GameDay has hosted a broadcast in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines are 8-2 through the first 10 games, a stat that does not bode well for the Irish.
That includes the last time ESPN came to town in 2011. It was for this very same game, when Michigan pulled a 35-31 victory out in front of a nationally-televised audience.
Overall, Michigan has appeared on the show 23 times while this will serve as No. 24 for Notre Dame.
Both teams are coming off convincing, season-opening wins. Notre Dame knocked off Temple, 28-6, and Michigan thumped Central Michigan, 59-9.
