Daily Fantasy College Football Week 13 Tips, Picks, and Contests

If you haven’t noticed by now, the Pac-12 and Big 12 offer the most fantasy potential on a week-to-week basis. This time around is no different, as the highest projected scoring games include three from the Pac-12, two from the Big 12, and Ohio State taking on the worst Big Ten defense. Here they are:

  • Colorado @ Oregon: 73 total points
  • Texas Tech @ Iowa State: 71 total points
  • Washington State @ Arizona State: 70 total points
  • Oklahoma State @ Baylor: 68 total points
  • Indiana @ Ohio State: 65 total points
  • USC @ UCLA: 61 total points

As you’ll find out below, these games serve as the focal point for majority of the recommended plays. There’s a lot of different routes you can take when constructing your FantasyAces lineups this weekend, but these guys serve as the cream of the crop:

A featured FantasyAces daily fantasy college football contest is on tap for this weekend, including $500 in payouts, with $125 going to 1st, and only $11 to join (50 entries, top 10 paid). On top of that, the lobby is chalk-full of traditional head-to-heads and 50/50 leagues for a fun and lucrative opportunity.

Note: Don’t forget about FantasyAces one-week NFL leagues either. Along with a wide-array of tournaments throughout all buy-in levels ($1, $11, $22+), qualifiers for FantasyAces live $100,000 championship in NewPort Beach, CA have also been posted. Full details on the live event can be found here.

QUARTERBACK

Top Play: J.T. Barrett – OSU – $6,250

With his last performance, J.T. Barrett appears to be on the fast track to New York City in December. He’s an absolute touchdown machine, accounting for 9 total TDs in the past two weeks, prompting an eye-popping 46 fppg average over that span. Indiana’s defense is awful (106th overall), and Barrett should be able to do whatever he wants in this game.

Also Consider: Rakeem Cato – MSH – $5,400 & Sam Richardson – ISU – $4,600

Rakeem Cato was mentioned in this section last week, and I’m going back to the well once again. His price remains attainable despite back-to-back 30+ FP games. UAB ranks 110th in yards per completion, creating a fantastic opportunity for Cato to inflict some fantasy damage … Sam Richardson sat out Iowa State’s last game, but he’s probable to return following the bye week. He’ll do so against Texas Tech’s 124th-ranked defense, looking to build upon his 24 fppg average.

RUNNING BACK

Top Play: Melvin Gordon – WIS – $6,900

What will the NCAA single-game record holder for rushing yards do as an encore? Well, considering Iowa gave up 5.0 yards per carry to another power-rushing team (Minnesota), I’d say Gordon’s chances at another big game look pretty solid. Vegas apparently agrees, setting his rush yard over/under prop at 200. Needless to say, he’s the premium pick of the week (again).

Also Consider: James Conner – PITT – $5,950 & Justin Jackson – NW – $4,800

James Conner was the posterboy of last week’s article, and he turned out a 220 yard 4 TD performance that got lost somewhere within the Melvin Gordon record-breaking hysteria. Conner is averaging 200 yards 3 TDs in his last three games, and he should approach 30+ carries with Pitt serving as a home favorite over Syracuse … Justin Jackson has been sneaky good for Northwestern, averaging 122 yards and 1 TD over the past five weeks. The matchup appears favorable against Purdue’s 94th-ranked rush defense.

WIDE RECEIVER

Top Play: Corey Coleman – BAY – $5,800

Coleman is an absolute beast, and it appears he is a staple in the potent Baylor passing attack. He has accounted for 8 TDs in the past five games, and the Bears will be looking to get him the ball any way possible (screen pass, deep route, rushing attempt) vs Oklahoma State’s suspect secondary.

Also Consider: William Fuller – ND – $5,300 & D’Vario Montgomery – ISU – $4,600

The matchup against Louisville doesn’t look great for Fuller, but I’m still calling for a big performance out of the Golden Domers’ wide-out. Notre Dame likes to lean on him in close games, and Louisville’s 3rd-ranked rush defense may force them to pass more than usual … D’Vario Montgomery is a cheap sleeper pick. He has been tearing it up for Iowa State (20-318-2 over past three), and the return of QB Sam Richardson should only help.

TIGHT END

Top Play: Clive Walford – MIA – $4,100

Walford has amassed 250+ yards and 4 TDs total in the past three games. Those numbers indicate he is a top 5 TE, yet 15 others have a steeper salary on FantasyAces. Take advantage of the savings, and lock him in.

Also Consider: Davis Dudchock – VAN – $3,250

Consider him a deep sleeper, but Vanderbilt loves utilizing their TEs, exemplified by Dudchock’s overall 7-138-1 line from the last two weeks. That’s not bad considering the minimum price tag. Plus, the Commodores will likely find themselves passing more than desired against Mississippi State.
