The second portion of the three factors that goes into the BCS standings has officially arrived. The Harris Poll, made up of 105 different voters, including former coaches, players, athletic directors and media members, has been released for the first time in 2013.
The Harris Poll combines with the USA Today Coaches’ Poll and computer rankings to make up the BCS. The AP Poll was removed from the BCS formula following the 2004-05 season.
Circling back to the Harris, the poll is extremely similar to the current Coaches’ rankings, with one glaring difference: Clemson and Ohio State are flip flopped in the two polls. Should either Alabama or Oregon fall, the No. 3 spot because all the more important.
