With both teams coming off two consecutive losses, the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs met in their annual rivalry game in Jacksonville: The World’s Largest Cocktail Party.
The tailgating was insane, and the game was too. After going up by a score of 23-3, Aaron Murray threw a lateral that was fumbled, swinging the momentum of the game into the Gators’ favor.
Two touchdowns and a safety later, the game stood at 23-20, with plenty of time remaining for another Gators score. That would never come, however, as the Bulldogs held on for the win.
The victory over Florida was the third in a row for Georgia’s senior quarterback Aaron Murray. He is only the third signal-caller in school history to pull off that feat, joining Johnny Rauch (who did it four times) and Buck Belue.
