Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak collapsed on the sidelines just prior to halftime during the team’s Sunday night game against the Indianapolis Colts.
At the time, Houston boasted a commanding, 21-3 lead. Defensive coordinator and former Dallas, Denver and Buffalo head coach Wade Phillips was forced to take over for Kubiak after he was taken off the field on a stretcher. He was immediately rushed to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
It was an incredibly scary moment for everyone in the building, and presumably remains so for Kubiak and his family in the hospital.
Everyone here at Gamedayr is hoping for a full and speedy recovery.
*UPDATE* Houston has confirmed that Kubiak did not suffer a heart attack, per Michelle Tafoya.
