In another beautiful display from a collegiate football program, the University of Georgia has made the wish of a young kid come true.
Joseph Liguori’s Make-A-Wish dream was to play for the Georgia Bulldogs, and the foundation delivered. On Friday, Liguori joined the team as an honorary tight end as the Bulldogs prepared for their upcoming Gator Bowl game against Nebraska.
It was a moment of inspiration that Liguori, Coach Mark Richt, and the entire UGA football squad will never forget.
To cap off the day, Liguori scored a touchdown, and was hoisted on players’ shoulders in celebration. In the video, you can hear Richt say, “If he happens to get in the end zone, I want a celebration like we’ve never seen at the University of Georgia.”
Following is a highlight video of the young man’s heartwarming day.
