Clay Matthews left the Green Bay-Pittsburgh game with an injury after sacking Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. It appeared that Matthews’ thumb, which he fractured in Week 5 against the Detroit Lions, was banged up on the play.
As Matthews crawled away from Roethlisberger and ran towards the sideline, he seemed to be favoring his right hand.
He eventually made his way back to the locker room for a closer look at the injury.
The sack from Matthews forced a fourth down for the Steelers.
Here’s a look at the play which caused Matthews to exit the field.
