After an intense series at Tampa Bay, images are coming out that indicate Detroit superstar Miguel Cabrera may have used a homosexual slur directed toward Rays closer Fernando Rodney after the third baseman struck out in the 10th inning of the teams’ game Saturday night.

Lip readings indicate Cabrera said the Spanish word “maricon”as he walked out of the batter’s box following strike three.

The Tigers and Rays wrapped up a contentious series Sunday in St. Petersburg, Fla. The regular season match-up between two postseason contenders saw official warnings from umpires, intentionally hit batters on both teams, a walk-off win for Tampa Bay and finally a 2-1 series win for the Rays.

Cabrera has emerged as the best hitter, and arguably best player, in Major League Baseball. He had six hits in the previous series including two home runs and knocked home four RBI’s.
