A.J. McCarron hit tight end O.J. Howard for a touchdown to give the Alabama Crimson Tide a 10-3 second-quarter lead over LSU.
Just after the the Tigers took the lead on an eight-play, 57-yard drive, McCarron fired back with a quick four-play touchdown drive. The crowning play was a 52-yard strike to Howard. After he caught the ball at the 40-yard line, Howard cut across the field and outran four LSU defenders – not an easy task.
The play helped the Tide regain momentum in their annual grudge match against the Bayou Bengals.
