Somehow, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers upstaged the Miami Dolphins’ field goal fail on Sunday.
During a kickoff return in the fourth quarter, the Bucs attempted a reverse on the 7-yard line. The player receiving the handoff couldn’t quite get his arms around it, knocking the ball loose and back to the 2-yard line. San Francisco running back Kendall Hunter scooped the ball up and dove into the end zone for a touchdown.
The Bucs were only trailing 23-14 at the time of the turnover. The score pushed the game to 30-14 (following the extra point) with just over four minutes to play.
