Iowa quarterback Jake Rudock was under duress throughout the Hawkeyes’ Saturday game against Wisconsin. That pressure resulted in a big-time interception for the Badgers – but not before a bit of physical comedy.
Rudock attempted to sling a pass to his right. Instead of finding his receiver, however, he pinged the pigskin off the helmet of 6-foot-7, 305-pound offensive guard Andrew Donnal. Surely not the way coach Kirk Ferentz had drawn it up.
The ball then hung in the air for quite some time until Badgers defensive end Pat Muldoon hopped up and snagged it.
The play was B1G time for Wisconsin, who went on to win, 28-9, and move to 6-2 on the year.
