Below is a neat field-level view of what it’s like to be a part of one of the nation’s most prestigious marching bands in the country. Ryan Simpson, rank leader of the Penn State marching band, The Blue Band, mounted a Go-Pro camera to the top of his drum.

The video takes viewers through a performance prior to this year’s Purdue game. Watch as members of the band wind their way around the field.

For an overhead view of the band’s pregame ritual, here is footage from this season’s game against Michigan.
