Tiger Woods enters the 2014 British Open having not won a major since 2008 (when he beat Rocco Mediate at Torrey Pines in spectacular fashion). This year’s Open Championship is at Royal Liverpool for the first time since 2006, when it was won by Woods. It was his first major since the death of his father. At the time, he seemed to be well on his way to surpassing Jack Nicklaus’ 18 major championships.
